Dan
The only thing I know, is that in off road 1/10th 2wd trucks, rear anti-sqwat gives more forward bite under power and less side bite off power, or more traction under power and less traction off power. In other words, if you have a high speed sweeper turn at the end of a long fast straight, you might want to reduce anti-squat in the rear to add rear side bite in that corner during deceleration. It helps to keep the rear planted during a fast deceleration. The trade off is loss of quick forward bite or traction out of hair pin turns. This explains what anti-squat does for me, and not how it works. We need to shim our dirt oval cars a little to see what it will do.I have a couple links on setups that explain how it works. I'll dig them up and post here.
